My experience at Twinsburg Post Acute has been nothing but Fantastic. I developed pneumonia. I was so sick when i arrived i still couldnt walk and had lost over 30lbs and still had severe lung damage, still couldn’t breath worth a crap. The staff here have been life saving to me and really care. I can now walk and am getting better day by day. the rehab is absolutely steller. Shamia Jones .. Director of Social Services at T.P.A. has been espeasially helpfull to me here while i recover. she has gone above and beyond in helping me navigate and and sign up with the services and agencies that will help me once i leave. she is very nice and really cares. Shamia has been my advocate here has gone above and beyond , i cant thank her enough. If your considering Twinsburg Post Acute make sure you meet ask to meet Shamia because she’s Awesome!
This facility was by far the worst of the worst. My mother was admitted for wound care and physical therapy. Despite this, she was not seen by the wound care physician until one week after she was admitted. I had to personally contact a āsupervisorā to ask why she had not been evaluated and was only receiving first aid treatment. I was assured she would be seen that day however, the physician was in fact leaving the facility without having seen my mother at all. Thankfully, my brother happened to be present and stopped the doctor as she was leaving the facility; otherwise, she would not have been seen at all. In addition to this, communication with the facility has been extremely problematic. When I call, I am unable to reach anyone directly or leave voicemails. This has made it nearly impossible to advocate for my mother or address urgent concerns. There have also been serious safety issues. On one occasion, she pressed the call button requesting to use the restroom and was left unattended for two hours. After she continued to receive no response, I had no choice but to call the local police non-emergency line to request a wellness check. Only after police arrived did staff respond. This is deeply concerning and presents a significant risk to patient safety and dignity. Another example was my mother was to receive IV fluids for dehydration. However, the nurse inserted the needle into her abdomen rather than a proper IV site. The fluids immediately began leaking onto her bed. Despite this, staff changed the bedding and did not remove or properly address the misplaced line. The nurse then instructed her to lie flat one her back for 10 hours and was not allowed to move. This instruction was neither appropriate nor medically justified and caused her significant discomfort and distress. The handling of this situation was unprofessional and did not meet acceptable standards of care. Furthermore, my mother was verbally yelled at by an aide (Rhoda) after we had to complain about a strong urine odor coming from a room across the hall, which was so overpowering that it permeated her own room. Rather than addressing the sanitation issue, she responded by speaking to her disrespectfully. Regarding the wound care, despite clear orders for treatment every two days, this care was not provided consistently. I had to repeatedly escalate concerns and āhold their feet to the fireā before staff finally addressed her wound. Delayed care places my mother at serious risk of further complications. My mother did receive exceptional care and support from her social worker, Shamia. She was compassionate, and proactive in advocating my motherās needs. Shamia took the time to communicate clearly, address concerns promptly, and ensure my mother felt supported and respected throughout her care. Her professionalism and dedication made a meaningful and positive difference. The overall environment at this facility reflects a lack of care, accountability, professionalism , and basic respect for patients. The repeated failures in medical care, responsiveness, communication, and staff conduct have caused my family extreme concern and distress. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Twinsburg Post Acute to anyone under any circumstances.
I would like to thank Shamia Jones (Social Worker) for doing a great job and keeping inform with everything regarding my Mom. She stayed on top of things, like giving me a list of different Nursing Facilities, my Mom Health needs. Just being a good listener, and compassionate. Thank you, Shamia
The aides, nurses, therapists, housekeeping, activities, social worker, and all the people we interact with are kind and loving and helpful. Very caring. Food is good too!
Iām grateful for the care my loved one received here. The staff was compassionate, and communication was great. The front desk was always welcoming and kind to my family.
I seldom leave reviews, especially negative ones. Picked this place for rehab and location. Overall, communication was poor and/or inconsisent which was very frustrating. I requested a psychological evaluation for my 89 year old father which, I was told, could only occur on a Tuesday or Thursday when the psychiatrist visited the facility, and I did express to the staff that I wanted to know when the evaluation was scheduled because I wanted to be there. Without my knowledge, someone came in a Wednesday and my father wouldn’t talk to them because he probably felt ambushed. Blood was drawn by an outside company at 3am which was absurd and also verified and documented. My father’s sodium level results were given to me incorrectly by a difference of 10 points by a nurse almost 2 days after the blood draw! Most of the food is inedible. It seems like there’s a lack of staff and many of them have a really bad attitude. Front desk personnel were cordial, although most of the time, no one answered the phone day and night, which required multiple calls. There were 2 trips to the ER which required a private pay ambulance because this facility normally transports to urgent care vs Ahuja because Twinsburg to Ahuja it was too far which was riduculous because my father lived in Twinsburg for years and never had an issue with transport to Ahuja Hospital in the recent past Care was extremely inconsistent and excuses were plentiful, although they did provide physical therapy. Most of the furniture is in very poor condition. Closet space was adequate. Would not recommend this facility, which has changed hands several times.
I highly recommend Twinsburg Post-Acute! My 98 year old father was there for rehab for 2 months. I was there with him 95 percent of the time, so I feel my review holds weight. The facility is clean. The skilled rooms are spacious. The nursing staffing is excellent. My favorites include:Brittany,Tavia,Beauty,Darlene,Jeanette,Tierra,Kierra and Rae. There were agency nurses at night, but they were good as well. The STNA staff were also very good and attentive. The occupational and physical therapy staff were Outstanding! They got my father back to his baseline Nurse Green was also Outstanding. She managed my father’s health issues with compassion. I felt that she really cares about the well-being of all of her patients. Now the negative The food service is not good. My father had food items that would trigger choking. These food items were clearing listed under his profile. When the manager ,Maurice was present, the food selection was in compliance. When Maurice wasn’t working, my father was given foods from the ‘ Do not serve” list. I give food service a low rating because the Registered Dietitian, Brian never followed the father’s weight changes and food complaints. He also wasn’t familiar with oncology food supplements. I highly recommend Twinsburg Post-Acute for rehab. The facility allows 24 hour visitation which is important if your loved one can’t communicate clearly. Director of Nursing, Kourtney is very nice. I didn’t have much interaction with her because her nursing staff was responsive and didn’t need her permission to make changes. My father has been a resident of many rehab facilities. Twinsburg Post-Acute is the best by far. I loved the intimacy of the small population and OUTSTANDING STAFF If food is not really important to you, please give this rehab a try.
After careful consideration, we chose Twinsburg Post Acute because of your caring staff, beautiful facilities, and past recommendations from others who have been to your facility. My mother was there for just over 10 days; she came in very weak and unable to live at home due to injuries sustained from a fall. During her time with you, she made tremendous progress benefiting from the round-the-clock care. We are thrilled to say she is back home and getting better each day! The PT, OT, and ST team members were truly top notch. From the moment she arrived, the staff made her feel at home. They spent time with her on the first day, making sure she felt welcome and cared for. The level of care and attention they provided exceeded our expectations! We were especially thankful that you even allowed us to bring in her favorite chair. Thank you all for your wonderful help and support during this time. We fully recommend this facility to others in need of warm and caring heath professional !
First I would like to thank all the nurses and staff that work at the rehabilitation center they are all very nice and welcoming. They all do their best to take care of my father and let him feel as if almost like he was at home. I visit him whenever a I want and they all give us laughter, smiles and sometimes snacks! 𤣠I personally would like to thank Courtney at the center. She gave me a personal understand of how yall feel about my father and know that he is a man who tries very hard to do what he can. She also let me know of better ways I can help out at the center when I come visit. Thank you to all of the nurses that help the elderly and ill at this beautiful welcoming place.
My mother stayed here when it was Heartland, so this time we thought oh we want to go back there! NO! not the same care! My mother was never showered, food was not eatable. Therapy was not consistent. Employees were pleasant however there was either not enough of them or they were off goofing off. One day the employees were fighting and got sent home so there was 1 aid for the entire floor. I do not recommend sending a loved one here unless you hate them!
Twinsburg Post Acute staff have been extremely helpful and courteous we enjoy working with them.
I am writing to express my gratitude to the Twinsburg Post Acute facility, especially to Tawny (Admissions Director), Courtney (Director of Nursing), and Rachel (Administrator), for accepting my son into their care. Last year, my son suffered a brain injury that brought numerous challenges. I struggled to find a facility willing to accept him and work through these difficulties. Unfortunately, many places were reluctant to take a chance on my son, resulting in multiple denials. After sharing my struggles and disappointmentsāwith many tearsāwith Tawny and Courtney, they communicated my situation to the Administrator. Later that evening, I received the wonderful news that my son had been accepted. I was overjoyed! What makes this experience even more exciting is the incredible therapy team led by Lisa. The team is compassionate and highly motivated to help my son make progress, and they are truly fantastic! He is making tremendous strides in his therapy, and I couldnāt be happier. Additionally, Nurse Anita has earned my deep respect. She is compassionate, patient, and knows how to work effectively with my son and his traumatic brain injury (TBI). Jen, the receptionist, truly represents the facility well. She is very welcoming, with her infectious smile, and is always eager to assist. They are invaluable members of the team. Thank you, Twinsburg Post Acute, for believing in my son. Sincerely, Angela
My husband is a resident at Twinsburg Post Acute. He receives very good care there. He is doing so much better than when he first arrived a year ago. The staff is caring and very nice. My husband is very happy there.
Great place for Mom! Love the people and the care. š
Surprisingly Wonderful place! My Aunt is currently there and the Staff are AMAMZING, the Facility is clean and beautiful! I was welcomed with a smile !!! The Nurses were very attentive to my aunt! There is not a staff member she did not praise! Definitely would recommend to anyone!!! Thanks to the entire staff for taking such good Care of my Aunt
Please do not take anyone here. Brought my mom here for post stroke rehab. It looks like a really nice place. During the day the care is acceptable. The therapy team is exceptional. However, at night, it is an absolute horror show. The nurses and aides are lazy and neglectful at best. My mother was literally screaming in pain and they couldnāt bother to come in and check on her. When I approached them was immediately met with hostility and apathy. Had to get a squad to come pick her up and take her to the ER. The medics basically told us in so many words this is a frequent problem and do not bring her back here. She was there for 8 days and we gave them every opportunity to correct the situation. I regret being so patient. I also think there is a chance they were stealing her pain meds. As soon as Iām done with this review Iām calling the summit county board of health and ombudsman. So sad that someone who is supposed to be a caregiver could have so little empathy. And shame on the corporation for understaffing the facility. At almost $500 a day they can afford to hire more nurses instead of stuffing their pockets. Profit before patients I guess.
My father went to TPA for rehab after his heart attack. He had a feeding tube and surgery induced delirium. The outlook for his recovery was not good. The therapists on staff never gave up on him and really worked hard to help him recover. It seemed like he would never get to a place that he could be out of a nursing home. Well 4 months later we moved my father into an assisted living facility and he is flourishing. I am thankful for all TPA did to make that happen. The PT staff is fantastic and the nurses and their certified nurses assistants are very caring.
It is hard for me to start to talk about this experience because my wife was so sick. She spent 9 days in the hospital and after many conversations we were convinced to place my wife in a PT facility. We talked with many hospital personnel and friends and finally decided on the Legacy. I feel it was Devine intervention because everyone we had contact with at the Legacy was not only polite but there were helpful, caring and when I would have to leave and go home I felt comfortable that my wife was safe and in good hands. The physical therapy people were great and I was amazed at how they treated my wife. I was very impressed at how the office employees conducted themselves. They would check on my wife on a regular basis. The caregiver that was there almost every day was Renee. She was funny, caring and helped me with my wife’s food intake. Tawny is the admittance administrator and she is great. She will stop at nothing to make sure your loved one has everything they need. I have been exposed to several different facilities and this is the right place for your family member.. Hands Down. Thank you to all of the Legacy Twinsburg team. Glenn Herrier
Tawny is a great director! The Coffman family appreciates you greatly
I am a hospice provider who is blessed to care for some of the residents of this facility. As soon as you walk into the facility you are met by the most pleasant and welcoming Director of First Impressions, Jen. The rest of the staff follows suit and is attentive and caring to their residents. The facility decor is fresh and bright. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility for those in need. š
Excellent facility. Tee and Anita are amazing. So clean and so nice. An excellent facility for your rehab needs. You will be happy!
